In the United States, most states follow a standard fiscal year that begins on July 1 and ends on June 30. However, there are exceptions: Alabama and Michigan: Their fiscal year runs from October 1 to September 30. Texas: The fiscal year starts on September 1 and ends on August 31. New York: Its fiscal year begins on April 1 and concludes on March 311.
