A Prescription Drug Plan (PDP) is a stand-alone drug plan, offered by insurers and other private companies to beneficiaries who receive their Medicare Part A and/or Part B benefits either through the Original Medicare Plan, Medicare Private Fee-for-Service Plans that do not offer prescription drug coverage, or Medicare Cost Plans that do not offer Medicare prescription drug coverage.
