Laboratory Panel

While there are differences in the meanings of the terms “panel” among various laboratories, for the purposes of this guide, it is defined as a grouping of procedures that measure multiple analytes from a single specimen and can be requested through one laboratory order. This is also referred to as battery. For example, a complete blood count (CBC) or a urinalysis may be referred to as a panel.
