The ACA risk adjustment model predicts annualized plan liability expenditures using age, sex, and health status derived from Diagnosis Codes. Therefore, capturing all relevant diagnoses is important to the accuracy of RA. The Supplemental Diagnosis file allows issuers to submit Supplemental Diagnosis information to the EDGE server for consideration in the RA Program.
