Global Capitation

Global capitation, also known as full risk, is when all health care services provided to the patient are included in the arrangement. Services include primary care, specialty care, hospitalizations, ancillary care, etc. These arrangements can have carve-outs, which typically include, but are not limited to, pharmacy benefits and mental health services.
